Officials are investigating after a crane fell over while it was being loaded onto a tractor-trailer in Stratford tonight.
Chopper 12 was over the scene at 8 p.m. Department of Transportation officials say it happened at the site of a construction project on the Moses Wheeler Bridge.
Assistant Fire Chief Lance Edwards says that while the crane was being put onto a tractor-trailer, its weight shifted, causing it to topple over.
Officials say oil spilled out of the crane, but crews set up a dyke and no oil got into the nearby Housatonic River. They say no one was hurt and the crane will be removed sometime tomorrow.
