Officials to crackdown on illegal gatherings at Seaside Park in Bridgeport after shooting

Police Chief Roderick Porter says there will soon be constant police presence in the park to keep an eye on things.

Bridgeport Mayor Joe Ganim is addressing the illegal gatherings taking place at Seaside Park, including one incident where three people were shot.
Ganim, the police chief and the public facilities director disccussed the incident on a Facebook Live.

"People from out of state coming in, thinking this is their playground, disrespecting the people of Bridgeport in so many ways, with how they act and how they conduct themselves," said Ganim.

Porter says if someone wants to host an event at the park they will need a permit.
