For many, Labor Day weekend is the last chance to soak up the final days of summer sun.
Officials are stressing the importance of enjoying the end of summer responsibly.
"People will make a bad choice. They'll make a selfish decision. They'll get behind the wheel when they shouldn't, and they'll crash and kill themselves or somebody else," said Connecticut Department of Transportation spokesperson Josh Morgan. "These are preventable crashes. These are crashes that didn't need to happen if someone did the responsible thing: use the ride-share service, use public transportation, designate a sober driver."
