Parents and community members in Norwalk are speaking out after the nonprofit group NEON announced that CEO Joseph Mann is stepping down after an audit found $400,000 was mismanaged.
Community members waited for two hours last night for the Norwalk Economic Opportunity Now board to announce the decision.
While Mann will be leaving his position, he will continue to be paid until a new CEO is elected.
Some NEON workers say they are furious Mann will continue to get a paycheck.
The Department of Social Services has selected Patricia Wilson to be NEON's interim CEO.
