Police say a pedestrian was struck by a car and injured in Norwalk early Sunday morning.

It happened just after 3 a.m. on North Main Street.

Police say the victim was found lying in the road.

The driver was said to have left the scene, but later contacted police. News 12 was told that the driver is cooperating.

The victim was taken to the hospital.

Anyone who saw the accident is asked to call Norwalk police.
