Police say a 16-year-old girl died in a tubing accident Wednesday in Greenwich. Another teen girl was injured.

Police say the two girls were tubing in the Long Island Sound off Greenwich Point Park. The tube was attached to a privately owned boat. Police say at one point, the boat stopped, causing the tube to get caught in the boat's propeller.

One girl was pronounced dead at the scene. The injured girl was taken to Stamford Hospital. Police say she injured her leg and is expected to be OK. Two other girls were on board the boat, but were not injured in the accident.

All four girls attended Greenwich High School. Police say they plan on revealing the name of the victim on Thursday.
