Two people were killed and two others were injured during a shooting early Sunday in Bridgeport.
Bridgeport police say shots were fired at Mango'z Sports Bar on 456 Connecticut Ave. at around 1 a.m.
Three gunshot victims were transported by medics to Bridgeport Hospital, and a fourth victim arrived to the hospital by private vehicle.
A 19-year-old man and a 24-year-old man were pronounced dead at the hospital. Family members identified one of the victims as Andrew Bush.
A relative tells News 12 Connecticut, "Both families grew up together and are now spending the most precious time of the year without their sons. We are in a spirit of wanting no more hurt, loss and pain as a community."
The other two victims, a 26-year-old man and a 21-year-old man, suffered non-life threatening injuries.
Connecticut state police assisted Bridgeport police in the moments after the shooting, which witnesses say were chaotic due to the large crowd that assembled.
Cpt. Brian Fitzgerald says the place had been rented out to a private group who was hosting a big birthday party when the gunfire broke out.
Anyone with information is asked to call Bridgeport Police at 203-576-TIPS.
