Police: 2 dead in Stamford crash; driver fled scene

Police are looking for the driver who fled on foot after a serious car crash in Stamford that killed two people, including a passenger in the driver's car. Police say it happened at around 8:30 p.m.

Police are looking for the driver who fled on foot after a serious car crash in Stamford that killed two people, including a passenger in the driver's car.
Police say it happened at around 8:30 p.m. Friday at the corner of West Main Street and Alvord Lane. A Nissan Altima ran a red light and collided with a BMW.
Investigators say the passenger in the Nissan was thrown from the vehicle and was killed. The passenger has been identified as 50-year-old Henry Nixon, of Stamford.
There were two people in the BMW, identified as 73-year-old Anthony Andriulli and 70-year-old Judith Andriulli, of Cos Cob. Both were hospitalized with injuries, but police say Judith Andriulli was pronounced dead Saturday morning.
The driver fled the crash scene on foot. Police describe the driver as a black female who is about 5 feet 5 inches tall, and was wearing a gray sweatshirt, green jacket and jeans.
Physical evidence that was recovered at the scene is being processed to identify the driver, according to police.
