Two people were hospitalized following a rollover on Black Rock Turnpike in Redding Wednesday, police say.
It happened at 10 a.m. near the Redding Ridge Market.
Police say the vehicle was traveling south, crossed the yellow line and hit a tree. The vehicle then rolled over onto the passenger side into the woods.
The driver and juvenile passenger were trapped and need to be removed by the fire department, according to authorities.
Police say both were taken to Danbury Hospital.
Due to their serious injuries, the juvenile was transferred to New York-Presbyterian Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital for further treatment.
Redding police and Fairfield Police's Accident Reconstruction Team are investigating the incident.
