Three people are facing charges in a pair of violent incidents Monday in New Fairfield.
Police say Jose Sandoval and Briana Dean were engaged in a domestic violence dispute before Thomas Crapa became involved.
Crapa and Dean left together until Sandoval approached their vehicle with a machete and rammed their car, according to authorities. Crapa allegedly fired a shot in the direction of Sandoval, striking him with a bullet fragment.
Officers say Dean attempted to conceal the gun and another firearm in her purse.
Crapa is facing several gun and resisting charges. He is being held on $1 million bond. Sandoval is facing multiple assault charges and being held on $250,000 bond. Dean is facing gun and drug charges and being held on $1 million bond.
