Police say they are investigating the death of a local resident Saturday after a body was found in the woods.
A 49-year-old Greenwich woman, reported missing since Friday afternoon, was found dead Saturday morning in the woods near a pond off Old Stone Bridge Road, not far from her home, police said.

A 49-year-old Greenwich woman, reported missing since Friday afternoon, was found dead Saturday morning in the woods near a pond off Old Stone Bridge Road, not far from her home, police said.
They say they discovered the body in the woods around 11 a.m.
Investigators say the body is a person who was reported missing Saturday morning by her parents.
News 12 was told an autopsy will be conducted Sunday.
Police say the death is not suspicious.
