A 10-year-old boy was shot in the foot in Mount Hope early Saturday morning, police say.
According to authorities, shots were fired shortly after midnight at the corner of East 175th Street and Monroe Avenue, hitting the young victim. It is unknown what the 10-year-old was doing on the street so late at night.
The boy was rushed to Saint Barnabas Hospital. He is expected to recover.
