Police: Bronx father of 12 fatally shot in own apartment

A Bronx father of 12 was fatally shot in his own home early this morning in what police say was an attempted robbery. According to authorities, 51-year-old Anselmo Porras was killed at 2700 Marion Ave.

A Bronx father of 12 was fatally shot in his own home early this morning in what police say was an attempted robbery.
According to authorities, 51-year-old Anselmo Porras was killed at 2700 Marion Ave. in Bedford Park at around 1 a.m. as he returned home from his shift as a local bodega manager.
Sources tell News 12 The Bronx that surveillance video shows three suspects waiting for Porras outside his building. They say video shows the men following Porras to his apartment, where he fled to his bedroom for safety.
Officials say a single gunshot through the bedroom door struck Porras in the torso.
Police are still looking for the suspects and are asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
