A man is in custody after police say he attacked another man with a hammer, then barricaded himself inside a Bronx home.
It happened on Yates Avenue in Williamsbridge Friday morning.
Police say the two men got into an argument when one of them took out a hammer and began hitting the other man.
After police were called to the scene, they say the man refused to leave the home.
Police temporarily blocked off the road and kept residents back as they talked to the man inside the house.
After a half-hour, police say the man was escorted out of the house and into a police car without incident.
The victim was transported to the hospital with minor injuries and is expected to be OK.
Police did not say if the man who used the hammer was charged.
