Police: Convicted felon found and arrested in Shelton in connection to fatal overdose

An investigation revealed Reid sold narcotics to the victim prior to their overdose.

Shelton police say they have found Daniel Reid, a convicted felon with a lengthy criminal record.
Reid, 38, was arrested Friday.
Police say Reid's arrest stemmed from a fatal drug overdose that happened in May.
An investigation revealed Reid sold narcotics to the victim prior to their overdose.
When police searched Reid's home in Shelton they found narcotics, a semi-automatic firearm with no serial number and ammunition.
Reid face numerous charges including possession of narcotics with intent to sell and criminal possession of a firearm
He is being held on $300,000 bond and transported to Derby Superior Court on Friday.
