The driver who fatally struck a 12-year-old girl and her dog in West Windsor on Nov. 27 is now facing criminal charges for leaving the scene and failing to report the accident.
Police say the girl and her dog were in the crosswalk at Rabbit Hill Road and Abbington Lane when they were struck by a Jeep driven by 65-year-old Iftekhar Hossain.
An investigation determined that Hossain knowingly left the scene of the crash and did not report it. However, he returned around 10 minutes later.
