Police in Bridgeport are searching for the gunman involved in a reported assault and robbery.
It happened on East Main Street around 8:30 p.m. yesterday.
Reports say the victim was robbed and pistol whipped before the suspect fired several shots and took off, dropping the gun in a backyard.
State police and a K-9 unit tried to track the suspect down, but no arrests have been made.
