Fairfield police are trying to track down two men who tried to rob a convenience store at gunpoint Sunday night.
Police say the clerk inside Milk Plus on the Post Road set off the panic alarm around 9 p.m.
They say two men came into the store. One watched the door while the other walked to the counter, pointed a gun at the clerk and demanded cash.
Police say the clerk told the man he didn't have any money, so the robbers ran off toward the Bridgeport border.
Police say surveillance cameras inside the store were not working at the time of the robbery.
They say they tried to pull surveillance footage from other stores in the plaza, but none had captured video of the suspects.
The owner of Milk Plus says he's had the store for 30 years and that this is the first time he has been a victim of a crime.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Fairfield Police Department.
