Police in Bridgeport are investigating an incident of assault that happened in the city's Black Rock section Thursday night.
Investigators say the incident took place at around 9:30 p.m. at 825 Brewster St.
Neighbors told News 12 Connecticut that they heard a lot of commotion, but were unsure about what was going on. Witnesses say they saw someone with a shirt covered in blood at the scene.
Police say they believe the victim may have been pistol-whipped by his attackers. According to a neighbor, the victim lives on the third floor of the multifamily home and is an older man.
Neighbor Arlene Diaz says police activity has been on the rise near the victim's home, but didn?t know the nature of that activity.
A police department official says the case is being treated as a robbery-assault case, but charges could later be upgraded. Police say the two men they are looking for are in their 20s and wore black sweatshirts.
