Police say a man armed with a hammer robbed a gas station in Stamford Wednesday evening.

Police say a man armed with a hammer robbed a gas station in Stamford Wednesday evening.
They say it happened at the Shell gas station on Hope Street. Officials say the man, armed with a hammer, took a box containing rolls of coins as well as several items from the store.
Surveillance cameras captured a shot of a very unique tattoo across each of his fingers.
Anyone who recognizes the suspect is asked to call Stamford police.
