One person was seriously injured in a shooting in Norwalk that happened in broad daylight, police say.
The shooting occurred at 11:00 a.m. Sunday in a typically quiet neighborhood on Plymouth Avenue.
Police say the unidentified victim was seriously injured and was taken to a local hospital.
Neighbors were shocked to find out the noises they heard were not fireworks, but gunshots.
"I even said, 'Why would someone be doing fireworks at this time?'” says Stephanie Falcon. “We didn't really think it was gunshots or anything."
Detectives spent the following hours canvassing the neighborhood.
Police have not made any arrests and ask anyone with information in the case to call the Norwalk Police Department tip line at (203) 854-3111.
