Police: Man suspected of killing puppy turns himself in

Officers arriving at the home say Stephen Siguenza informed them the mini goldendoodle puppy attacked him and that he hit the puppy twice in the head with his fist.

Danbury police say a man turned himself in after previously admitting he hit and buried his puppy.
Police say they did a welfare check on Stephen Siguenza on Jan. 31 after a person informed them they believed Siguenza killed a 3-month-old dog.
Officers arriving at the home say Stephen Siguenza informed them the mini goldendoodle puppy attacked him and that he hit the puppy twice in the head with his fist.
Police say Siguenza stated he buried the dog in the backyard. He has been charged with animal abuse.
Danbury Animal Control assisted with this case.
Siguenza will be in Danbury Superior Court on April 3.
