A man threatened to kill his girlfriend in front of her 10-year-old son, according to Stamford police.
Authorities say David Perez, 38, was driving the boy from Mount Kisco, New York, to Stamford Saturday night and, while drunk, recklessly pulled into his girlfriend's driveway on the city's East Side.
Perez got into an argument with his girlfriend and allegedly started striking, pushing, choking and threatening her with a knife in front of the young boy. Police say Perez then locked himself in a third-floor bedroom, where he was arrested.
Police say the mother was treated for minor injuries and that her son was traumatized by the incident.
Perez, who police say failed a sobriety test, was arraigned Monday and held on $350,000 bond.
