A Milford man has been charged with assaulting a police officer, according to police.
Police were called to a home Sunday on Breakneck Lane after two 911 hang-ups.
They say Andrew Smith was highly intoxicated and bleeding when they arrived.
When officers tried to speak with him, he became aggressive-- eventually kicking and biting them.
Once in handcuffs on a stretcher, police say Smith bit another officer and kicked him in the chest.
The officers were treated on the scene for minor injuries.
Smith is facing numerous charges.
