It happened on April 27 around 11:30 a.m. on East 224th Street and Needham Avenue.
Police say the two men, dressed in hooded sweatshirts and sweatpants, shot a 24-year-old man as he opened his apartment door.
The man was shot in the stomach, and the two men ran away, according to police. One man ran away and the other used a car to drive away from the scene.
Police say the car is described as a late model Nissan Murano.
According to the police, the man was rushed to St. Barnaba's Hospital in critical condition, but has since improved and is now listed in stable condition.
