Police are searching for the two carjackers who allegedly shot a man after forcing him into his vehicle and driving off in Bridgeport.
According to reports, the crime happened around 12:30 a.m. at North Avenue.
The 30-year-old victim was found shot at the intersection of Maplewood and Howard avenues around 1 a.m.
Fairfield police later found the abandoned car at Exit 23 on I-95.
Authorities say the victim was rushed to St. Vincent's Medical Center with injuries not considered to be life-threatening.
News 12 is told state police joined officers from Westport in dispatching police dogs to search for the suspects.
No arrests have been made.
