Stamford police say they are making progress in tracking down the woman responsible for a car crash that left two people dead.
The crash happened at the intersection of Alvord Lane and West Main Street on Friday night.
According to police, the woman was driving a 2002 Nissan Altima and ran a red light. She crashed into a BMW, killing the passenger Judith Andruilli, 70, and seriously hurting her husband.
Henry Nixon, the passenger in the Altima, was killed as well. Police say Nixon, 50, was ejected from the car and died from his injuries.
Police say the woman driving the Altima ran from the scene on foot. Detectives are hoping surveillance video from nearby businesses helps in their investigation.
Authorities say Nixon's family is cooperating in helping to locate the woman responsible.
Authorities are urging the woman to come forward and turn herself in.
