No arrests have yet been made in a brutal sexual assault in Cove Island Park one year ago.
The one-year anniversary of the attack will be this weekend.
Authorities say a woman was running in the park early one morning last year when a man grabbed her from behind, dragged her down by the water and sexually assaulted her twice.
Since the attack, city officials have put up blue light emergency poles in case of an emergency. These poles allow people to immediately contact police.
Stamford police say they have pursued multiple leads over the past year. They say they've interviewed several suspects and recovered some DNA, but the DNA did not generate any matches.
Police say they welcome any tips residents may have about the case. Anyone with information can contact the authorities at 203-977-8477.
