A South Norwalk family is shaken after someone fired shots at their Woodward Avenue home, nearly hitting a teen who was sleeping inside.
Police were called to the scene early Saturday morning after neighbors reported hearing gunshots. Police say that two to five bullets were fired, with holes present in the side of the house. Despite searching the area, police say no shell casings were found.
News 12 spoke with the family who lives in the home. They say a 14-year-old boy, Kevin Vega, was asleep on the other side of the wall where a bullet hit, and the bullet nearly hit his head.
Vega says he hid under a blanket after the bullet struck the wall.
The suspects are still on the loose. Neighbors say they saw two men running toward a nearby fence.
