Westport police say they are looking for the driver of a suspicious van that approached two young children Wednesday afternoon.

According to police, the incident occurred at the intersection of Easton Road and Silverbrook Road around 5 p.m. Authorities say two 9-year-old girls were playing in their yard when a darker colored pickup stopped at the intersection. The girls told police the driver asked them if they wanted to pet his dogs.

Police say the girls said 'no' and ran toward the house. The driver is described as an older white man with tan skin.
