A Torrington woman facing charges of assaulting an officer after police say she coughed on one of them and said she had COVID-19.
Police say they were trying to arrest 31-year-old Cassandra Spada following a domestic dispute when she began aggressively coughing in the officer's face and said tested positive for coronavirus.
They say Spada later claimed she did not have coronavirus, and did not have a temperature at the time of her arrest.
