Two women are facing charges after one of them presented a stolen ID and check to a bank teller at a drive-thru in Southbury, Saturday police say.
It happened at the Ives Bank on Main Street South around 11:30 a.m.
Police say Vanessa Rodriguez handed the teller an ID with a fake name and birth date, along with a stolen check. An investigation determined the check and card were stolen.
Rodriguez admitted that she wore a wig to look similar to the person who had their ID stolen, according to authorities.
She was charged with forgery, identity theft, criminal attempt at larceny, criminal impersonation and possession of drug paraphernalia.
A passenger, Kahlaya McAlphin, was charged with conspiracy to commit larceny and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Both were released on bond and are expected to appear in court Thursday.
