Police said a woman driving on Arctic and East Main on Bridgeport veered off and hit a man on the sidewalk.

It happened on Monday shortly after 1 p.m.

Witnesses told News 12 there was a loud argument just before the impact.

Police said the 27-year-old man was taken to the hospital and is in stable condition.

They said the driver, a 26-year-old woman, was treated and taken into custody for an unrelated incident.
