A National Sleep Foundation poll shows one-third of Americans are sleepless due to money-related stress.
Dr. Steven Thau, a sleep medicine specialist at Stamford Hospital, says establishing a routine that you find soothing before bed is a healthy way to find quality slumber.
?The time period before you go to sleep is a time to relax,? says Thau. He adds that bedtime is not the right time to balance a checkbook, pursue jobs online or to listen to financial news.
The doctor?s overall advice: don?t bring your financial worries to bed with you.
