A new poll shows the race for governor a dead heat less than a week before the election.
A new Quinnipiac Poll released shows Gov. Dannel Malloy and his opponent Tom Foley are tied at 43 percent each among likely voters.
The poll says that female voters favor Malloy while male voters favor Foley.
The poll also found that if petitioning candidate Joe Visconti was not running, the race would still be close.
