The heat and humidity will continue in Connecticut today with a few pop-up storms in the afternoon.

News 12 meteorologists say some of the storms may produce heavy showers, thunder and localized street flooding during the afternoon.

The National Weather Service issued a Flood Advisory for southern Fairfield County until 1:45 p.m. 

Expect partly to mostly cloudy skies with highs 80 to 85 degrees.

For tonight, expect mostly cloudy skies with the chance of a shower or storm. Any storms could bring heavy rainfall. Lows 69 to 73 degrees.

On Friday, sun and clouds will give way to a chance of a shower or storm mainly early in the day. 

 

On Saturday, expect partly sunny skies with a high of 81 degrees.
