President Donald Trump called for Sen. Richard Blumenthal to be investigated in a Truth Social Post following his clash with Attorney General Bondi during Tuesday's senate hearing.

Trump referenced an old allegation that Blumenthal lied about his military service in Vietnam. That goes back to 2010 when Blumenthal admitted his marine service was in Washington and he was not deployed to Vietnam.

In response to Trump's comment, Blumenthal said he has long since cleared the matter up and voters in Connecticut have elected him three times since then.
