STORM WATCH

Second round of snow looms for Sunday in Connecticut.

The third annual Winter Restaurant Week began in Stamford Monday with reduced prices to help during the economic crisis.
The event is a way for customers to take advantage of discounted food prices during a difficult financial period. There are 16 restaurants participating in the event.
In some menus, customers can save up to $15 to $20 per person. There are all types of restaurants for customers to visit ranging from French to Italian cuisine.
"Everyone gets discounted by at least 25 percent I would say," Remo's Brick Oven Pizza Company owner Anthony Nargi says.
For those looking for more of a discount, the event is also selling reduced-price tickets to see movies. Avon Theatre is offering a $2 voucher, which is handed out at the restaurants.
"We're $10, we are non-profit and we do have memberships, which are $6 tickets," Avon's Cindy Rodriguez says. "So they get reduced admissions and with restaurant week, they get even more reduced admissions. So, their ticket will be $4."
