The demonstration took to the street, and police blocked off part of the Post Road.
"I think we need to speak up more, be proud to stand next to our black brothers and sisters and fight for them and be a voice," a young woman tells News 12.

Residents young and old, police and politicians, all came together for the demonstration.
"I'm hoping our community can continue this dialogue because this is a very important issue," First Selectwoman Brenda Kupchick says.
A couple, who brought their 9-year-old son to the protest, says that this is a dialogue they've started having with him so that he can understand at an early age what's going and continue to build on that platform.
