A popular Norwalk restaurant is dealing with the aftermath of an apparent hoax where someone posted racist comments online under the diner's name.
The incident occurred Wednesday when a racially insensitive comment appeared online under a fake account claiming to represent Penny's Diner.
The offensive Twitter post was related to the announcement of Harriet Tubman becoming the new face of the $20 bill.
Mark Koskerides, owner of Penny's Diner, says he is frustrated not only because of the nature of the comments, but also because his restaurant doesn't have any social media accounts.
The diner says they have received several angry calls ever since the incident occurred.
Norwalk police are investigating the situation, but wouldn't comment on what charges could come out of the case if someone were found responsible.
