The rain didn't have as big as an impact on the roads as expected this morning around western Connecticut.
News 12 Connecticut's Lauren Fabrizi hit the roadways in Fairfield, where the only major issue seemed to be glare on the road. However, since the sun came up that has subsided.
Communities that were hit hard by recent flooding, including Fairfield, Bridgeport and Trumbull, were on alert for round two due to today's rainfall. Officials say the recent flooding was due to river and creek overflow.
