NEW: Temperatures will surge about 20 degrees above normal on gusty winds Wednesday afternoon. The winds will be a problem again for elevated fire risk and thus a Red Flag Warning has been issued, meaning no fires and no flames outdoors. No need for a coat tomorrow, the afternoon will be breezy and warm. The clouds will collect, but there won't be any rain just yet.
NEXT: There is a better chance of rain for the end of the weekend and into early next week, there's also a slim possibility that there could be some tropical moisture slipping into the area. The rain looks more likely now for Veteran's Day on Monday.
TROPICS: Tropical Storm Rafael is strengthening as it heads toward the Cayman Islands. The forecast track for this storm eventually leads it into the Gulf of Mexico by the weekend. It's still too early to tell where the storms will go once it gets into the gulf. The forecast calls for some weakening due to a different weather environment.
