Officials in the Town of Redding have confirmed they will honor a fallen firefighter during their annual Memorial Day Parade. They say they will pay tribute to Lt. Marshall Sanford, who died on the job back in April and who had organized the parade for 35 years. Family members say the ceremony will be kept to a minimum. However, First Selectman Natalie Ketcham is expected to make a brief speech. Sanford's son, Hank, says his father founded the event nearly 50 years ago. The parade is scheduled for Saturday at noon.
