Redding's Heritage Center celebrated St. Patrick's Day with a drive-thru celebration today for their seniors.
A year ago, many St. Patrick's Day celebrations were canceled as the pandemic had just begun, but this year hope is beginning to be restored as more get vaccinated.
Organizers outside the center walked up to cars as drivers popped their trunks or had their passenger rear window open to receive a St. Patrick's Day swag bag including a daffodil.
The swag bags also contained a coffee mug, some tea, and some flower seeds from the Redding nursery.
It's the Heritage Center's first big event for its seniors since closing its doors a year ago.
There was more to celebrate than just St. Patrick's Day, organizers say, as most seniors who came out today are now vaccinated.
