A marketplace and grill called the Reef Shack will replace the only 7-Eleven that once stood in Fairfield.

The new business was started up by Jason and Bridget Lesizza after 7-Eleven announced it would not be reopening.

The Fairfield couple says they decided to trade in a nearly 20-year commute to New York City to give back to the community, all while doing it with their three kids.

The Lesizzas say they already have plans to make a signature sandwich called the Fairfield Cheesesteak.

They say their will be a takeout window and an outdoor patio.  

They say the Reef Shack will also serve breakfast and sweets.

The Reef Shack is set to open in early fall.
