Local communities fighting the FAA's controversial new flight plan over southwestern Connecticut are getting some high-powered reinforcements.
Governor Jodi Rell and Attorney General Richard Blumenthal will join local leaders Thursday for a news conference at New Canaan Town Hall announcing their partnership.
The FAA plans to redirect flights in and out of the major New York airports over southwestern Connecticut and its neighborhoods. Municipal leaders are expected to file a lawsuit to stop the flight plan, claiming it will cause noise and air pollution.
