Easton police say a recent rise in property vandalism has caused thousands of dollars worth of damage.
Police say several homes were hit by vandals last weekend in one of the worst cases of vandalism in Easton. They are now looking for those responsible.
Several homeowners found destroyed mail boxes and broken light fixtures on their property when they awoke Sunday morning. Easton Police Sergeant William Spencer says if police catch those responsible for the damage, they will be prosecuted.
Homes in Weston and Fairfield were also struck. The police departments of all three towns are investigating and developing leads. They are talking to area high school students and say they believe arrests will be made soon.
