Students at Hope Academy in Orange rescued a six-week old puppy they named Hope and raised money to pay for life-saving surgery she needed.
A local vet heard about what the students were doing and did the surgery for free.
Hope is now being raised as a therapy dog and previous fundraising will be donated to animals in need.
