Sen. Chris Murphy is on the second day of his walk across the state, and News 12 caught up with him in Naugatuck.

The senator, who has been doing the walk in the same pair of sneakers over the last five years, started on the west side of the state in New Milford Monday. He will be traveling west on foot to speak with constituents about what they want to see him doing in Washington, D.C.

News 12 spoke with Sen. Murphy as he walked down Route 68 toward Wallingford.

"It's been all over the map the first couple of days,” he said. “I've talked about North Korea, I've talked about guns. A lot of people…[are] sort of worried about the future of Connecticut's economy."

 

News 12 asked Sen. Murphy about Gov. Lamont endorsing Joe Biden for president. Sen. Murphy said he supports the move but says he won't be endorsing anyone.
