Severe thunderstorm watch issued for part of CT with chance for scattered storms
WEATHER ALERT (8:15 p.m.) Severe thunderstorm warning issued for part of Litchfield County through 9:30 p.m. Gusty winds are possible.

The remnants of Hurricane Laura made for a soggy Saturday in parts of western Connecticut, with periods of rain through the day and the chance for some thunderstorms into this evening.
A severe thunderstorm watch has been issued for parts of Connecticut, including Litchfield County, through 12 a.m.
News 12 meteorologists say we could see some scattered pop-up storms through the evening. Any storms could pack the chance for gusty winds and lightning.
The chance for storms continues through around 11 p.m., with skies clearing late, turning breezy and cooler and less humid toward morning.
Partly cloudy skies overnight are expected to make way for sunny weather on Sunday.
